Water System Update
September 19, 2018
The First Craven Sanitary District water system is now operating at full capacity with no issues. During and after the storm, the treatment facility was operating under emergency power and pumping at 50 percent. Water demand was high due to a large amount of leaks caused by the storm. There was a water main break early Sunday morning which effected about 15 customers.
The water and wells have been tested and the water continues to be safe.
Updates and notices during emergencies and weather events like we recently experienced will be posted on our facebook page first.
